Honest Limits

What Microcurrent Neurofeedback Is Not

Microcurrent neurofeedback is not medical care, and it is not an intervention for any named health condition. It is a relaxation practice using a biofeedback device cleared for relaxation training and muscle reeducation.

This is the page we would want to read first if we were the ones considering a booking. It is written straight and it is not softened.

Is Microcurrent Neurofeedback Medical Care?

No. Nobody in this practice is providing medical care, and a session is not a clinical appointment. We do not assess or identify health conditions, and we do not review, adjust, or comment on anything a clinician has prescribed to you.

If you have a health concern, the right first stop is a licensed clinician. We will say that in the room as readily as we say it here.

What Does Microcurrent Neurofeedback Not Do?

It does not fix anything, and we will not describe it as doing so. The scope of the device clearance is relaxation training and muscle reeducation, and our claims stop exactly there.

The list below is the plain version of what we will never tell you, in this studio or in our marketing.

  • It does not address a named condition, and we will not pair a condition with an outcome in a sentence.
  • It does not change what a clinician has prescribed to you. That conversation belongs to you and them.
  • It does not come with a promise, a timeline, or an outcome percentage. We publish no percentages because we have none worth publishing.
  • It does not require a fixed number of visits, and we will not sell you one.
  • It does not read your thoughts, and it does not target a brain structure. A scalp sensor cannot do either.
  • It is not a substitute for sleep, for medical attention, or for the harder changes that actually move a life.

Is the Evidence for This Settled?

It is not. The published literature on microcurrent approaches is limited, the studies tend to be small, and controls are often weak or absent. Anyone who tells you the science is settled is telling you something the literature does not support.

We keep a research section that says this in more detail, including a page dedicated to the open questions. We would rather lose a booking than misrepresent that.

Who Is Microcurrent Neurofeedback Not For?

Some people should not book with us, and we would rather say so up front than take the money.

If any of the following describes you, talk to us before booking, or talk to a clinician instead.

  • You are looking for care for a specific health condition. That is a clinician's work, not ours.
  • You are in crisis or need urgent support. Please contact emergency services or a crisis line rather than booking a session.
  • You have an implanted electrical device, or you are pregnant, and you have not discussed this with your own clinician first.
  • You need a promise before you spend money. We do not offer one, and a provider who does is telling you something untrue.
  • You are being pressured into this by someone else. Sessions are worth nothing if you did not choose them.

Why Publish a Page Like This at All?

Because the industry around this equipment has an honesty problem, and the usual response is more careful hedging rather than plainer language.

We would rather you arrive with accurate expectations and stay, than arrive with inflated ones and feel misled. If that costs us bookings, the trade is still the right one.

What Can You Reasonably Expect From Us?

A quiet room, a short session, a practitioner who explains what they are doing, and language that stays inside what the device is cleared for.

You can also expect us to tell you when something is outside our scope, and to say we do not know when we do not know.
